Accie OCR

India-priced document workspace and API: upload a scan or PDF, extract structured data, review uncertain values, and export into the tools Indian teams already use — Tally XML, Excel, CSV, JSON, and GSTIN-grouped packs. Built for Indian CA desks, finance teams, and developers. Rupee-priced, processed in-region.

Quick answer

Accie OCR is not an invoice-only box. While the primary wedge is GST invoices for CA desks, the same workspace handles custom forms, financial statements, documents, and handwritten English / Indic notes. Metered per page in rupees, processed in India, with MCP skills for AI agents.

Document coverage

Five document lanes. One consistent workspace.

Choose the right lane for your document type. Each lane produces structured fields and export formats tailored to real operational workflows.

Document Lane What you upload What Accie extracts & checks Export formats
Invoice / Voucher
Primary wedge
GST invoices, purchase bills, cash receipts, delivery challans Supplier, GSTIN, invoice date, line items, taxable amounts, tax breakdown (CGST/SGST/IGST), total, IRN, GSTR-1-oriented rows, 4-way compliance badge check Tally XML, Excel, CSV, JSON, GSTIN pack (ZIP)
Forms & Templates Fixed-layout forms, customer onboarding sheets, KYC application packs, internal checklists User-defined template fields (name, type, required), human correction inline, zero re-charge for re-extracting completed jobs Excel, CSV, JSON
Documents & Archives Contracts, legal agreements, official letters, mixed PDFs, scanned paper archives Searchable text + structured metadata, multi-page layout analysis, confidence scoring Excel, CSV, JSON, TXT, Markdown
Statements
Under Document
Bank statements, Mutual Fund CAS (CAMS/KFintech), EPFO PF slips, NPS statements Account number, IFSC, bank name, statement period, opening/closing balance, transaction table, arithmetic balance check (Opening + Credits − Debits ≈ Closing) Excel, CSV, JSON
Handwritten Handwritten notes, doctor prescriptions, field challans in English & Indic scripts Transcribed text for digital archiving, search, and LLM/RAG pipelines. Indic script profiles: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali + English JSON, TXT, Markdown

Note on Indian ID scan: The pipeline for Indian IDs (PAN, Aadhaar, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport, Ration Card, Pension Slip, PRAN) is currently in development (id_scan_enabled=false). When enabled, it provides soft text extraction and masking for internal record-keeping — never marketed or sold as government e-KYC or DigiLocker verification.

Primary wedge

1. GST Invoice Intelligence for CA desks & finance teams

Extract invoices with compliance-grade checks, group them supplier-wise, and generate files ready for Tally and spreadsheet review.

  • Four-way compliance verification badge strip Every invoice is automatically checked across four dimensions:
Reconciled: Line items sum to grand total within GST rounding tolerance (±¥1 or ±0.5%).
Tax verified: Arithmetic checked against valid GST slabs (0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%).
GSTIN valid: Format and checksum validated offline without calling the GST portal.
QR / IRN cross-check: Cryptographically decodes e-invoice QR payload and compares signed values against OCR fields.
  • Tally-friendly purchase voucher XML Generate XML vouchers with standard GST ledgers (CGST, SGST, IGST, Round-off) shaped for immediate import into Tally Prime / ERP 9.
  • GSTR-1-oriented Excel & CSV rows Formatted with B2B, B2CS, B2CL classification, Place of Supply, reverse charge indicator, tax slab rates, and IRN for easy filing prep.
  • Group by GSTIN (ZIP pack) Download a batch of invoices grouped into separate folders by supplier GSTIN — eliminating manual filing for month-end reconciliation.

Verification badge strip in action

In the Accie workspace, CA staff scan an entire client batch at a glance. Green ticks confirm checks passed, and amber/red flags highlight arithmetic mismatches or malformed GSTINs for review.

✓ Reconciled ✓ Tax Verified ✓ GSTIN Valid ✓ QR / IRN

Clear boundary: Accie prepares verified, import-ready files. It does not file GST returns on the government portal or directly post entries into Tally without your approval.

Operations & HR

2. Custom Forms & Extraction Templates

Define named fields once, and let Accie extract matching values across hundreds of fixed-layout sheets, applications, and vendor onboarding docs.

  • User-defined schema: Specify field names, data types (string, number, date, amount), and mandatory flags.
  • Test without extra charge: Test templates against existing completed OCR text without consuming page units.
  • Human-in-the-loop: Review and correct fields inline in the workspace to refine extraction accuracy.
  • Tabular exports: Download all submitted forms consolidated into a single clean CSV, Excel, or JSON file.

Financial Data

3. Bank, Mutual Fund, PF & NPS Statements

Extract statement PDFs into structured Excel/CSV transaction tables with built-in arithmetic balance validation.

  • Core header extraction: Account number, IFSC code, bank/institution name, customer name, statement period.
  • Opening & closing balances: Captured along with full tabular transactions (Date, Description, Ref/Chq, Debit, Credit, Balance).
  • Soft arithmetic check: Checks that Opening + Total Credits − Total Debits ≈ Closing Balance (±¥1).
  • Security requirement: Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked prior to upload.

4. Handwritten English & Indic Notes

Digitise cursive and print handwriting across receipts, doctor prescriptions, field delivery notes, and regional records.

  • Indic script profiles: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali script support alongside English.
  • Real-world resilience: Optimized for mobile photos, low-contrast carbon copies, and wrinkled receipts.
  • RAG & LLM ready: Export as clean JSON, plain TXT, or Markdown for search engines, LLM knowledge bases, and document archives.

Automation

5. REST API, Webhooks & MCP Skills

Everything in the workspace is accessible via API. Connect your internal SaaS or let AI agents run document tasks autonomously.

  • REST API: Idempotent job creation, batch uploads, template application, export retrieval, and usage tracking.
  • HMAC webhooks: Real-time callbacks for job.ready and job.failed with signature verification.
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP): Native MCP skills for Cursor, Claude, LangChain, and AI agents to submit documents and fetch structured results.
  • Org-scoped keys: Secure accie_sk_... API keys managed per organization.

Enterprise reliability

Workspace operations, data governance & transparent billing

Built for professional teams that require strict data residency, reliable throughput, and predictable costs.

  • Dual processing lanes (Fast interactive & batch) Fast lane delivers single-document extractions in seconds on CPU. High-volume batch lane handles hundreds of pages with advanced LLM/SLM models.
  • Client & period tagging Tag jobs by client name, financial year, or assessment quarter to keep multi-client bookkeeping structured.
  • Configurable data retention (1–30 days) Default 7-day retention. Set your organization policy between 1 and 30 days. Raw file bytes are purged permanently on schedule while immutable audit logs remain.
  • Transparent rupee-metered billing 1 submitted page = 1 charge. Exporting formats, downloading GSTIN ZIPs, platform retries, and applying extraction templates do not consume additional pages.
  • Flat page allowances, no metered overage Every plan has the same features and a fixed monthly page allowance. Upgrade anytime for more pages — there is no per-page overage billing.
  • In-region data processing (DPDP compliant) Data stays within Indian data centres by default. No cross-border data transfer without explicit configuration. See available regions.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What document types does Accie OCR support?

Accie OCR provides 5 live document lanes: (1) GST Invoices & Vouchers (purchase bills, receipts, challans), (2) Forms & Custom Templates (applications, KYC packs, checklists), (3) General Documents & Archives (contracts, letters, mixed PDFs), (4) Financial Statements (Bank, Mutual Fund CAS, PF, NPS PDFs with balance check), and (5) Handwritten Notes (English and Indic scripts: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali).

Does Accie file GST returns or post directly into Tally?

No. Accie does not file GST returns on the GST portal or post directly into Tally. It generates verified, import-ready files: Tally XML purchase vouchers with standard GST ledgers, GSTR-1-oriented Excel/CSV spreadsheets, and supplier-wise GSTIN ZIP packs. Your team retains full control over the final accounting post.

Do you verify Aadhaar, PAN, or identity cards with the government?

No. Accie is not an e-KYC or UIDAI/NSDL verification gateway. Our Indian ID extraction and masking pipeline is currently paused in development and will only offer soft field extraction and masking when live, not government-backed verification.

Are password-protected bank statement PDFs supported?

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked prior to uploading. Once unlocked, Accie extracts account numbers, IFSC, bank name, period, opening/closing balances, and transaction tables with an arithmetic sanity check (Opening + Credits − Debits ≈ Closing).

Is handwritten Indic text supported?

Yes. Accie OCR includes handwritten script profiles for English and major Indic languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali), outputting transcribed text to JSON, plain text, or Markdown for archives and AI/RAG workflows.

Can I export to Tally, Excel, CSV, or JSON?

Yes. Accie OCR exports Tally XML, formatted Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx), CSV, plain text, Markdown, and typed JSON. You can also export whole batches grouped into a supplier-wise GSTIN ZIP pack.

How does pricing work?

Plans are priced in INR excluding GST (18% GST shown separately). A one-time Beta plan offers 150 pages at no cost. Monthly plans range from Free (25 pages/mo) to Launch (₹49 for 250 pages), Plus (₹99 for 550 pages), and Team (₹299 for ~2,000 pages) — all with the same features and no metered overage. 1 submitted page = 1 charge. Exporting formats, downloading ZIPs, and re-running templates never consume additional pages.

Can AI agents use Accie OCR via MCP?

Yes. Accie OCR includes Model Context Protocol (MCP) skills. Any agent framework (Cursor, Claude Desktop, LangChain, custom Python/TypeScript agents) can submit jobs, check status, apply templates, and retrieve structured results autonomously.

Which regions is Accie OCR available in?

India only, today. Accie OCR is live there with in-region processing and INR pricing. More regions will be announced as local infrastructure is ready — we do not claim coverage that is not live yet.

Where is customer data processed and stored?

Data is processed and stored within Indian data centres by default. Accie supports configurable organization data retention (1–30 days, default 7 days), after which raw files are permanently purged.
