FAQ
Clear, honest answers about our OCR capabilities, document lanes, pricing, data residency, and AI integrations.
What document types does Accie OCR support?
Accie OCR provides 5 live document lanes: (1) GST Invoices & Vouchers (purchase bills, receipts, challans), (2) Forms & Custom Templates (applications, KYC packs, checklists), (3) General Documents & Archives (contracts, letters, mixed PDFs), (4) Financial Statements (Bank, Mutual Fund CAS, PF, NPS PDFs with balance check), and (5) Handwritten Notes (English and Indic scripts: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali).
Which regions is Accie OCR available in?
India only, today. Accie OCR is live there with documents processed and retained in India and plans priced in INR. Additional regions will be announced as local infrastructure is ready — we do not claim coverage that is not live yet. See available regions.
Does Accie file GST returns or post directly into Tally?
No. Accie does not file GST returns on the GST portal or post directly into Tally. It generates verified, import-ready files: Tally XML purchase vouchers with standard GST ledgers, GSTR-1-oriented Excel/CSV spreadsheets, and supplier-wise GSTIN ZIP packs. Your team retains full control over the final accounting post.
Do you verify Aadhaar, PAN, or identity cards with the government?
No. Accie is not an e-KYC or UIDAI/NSDL verification gateway. Our Indian ID extraction and masking pipeline is currently paused in development and will only offer soft field extraction and masking when live, not government-backed verification.
Are password-protected bank statement PDFs supported?
Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked prior to uploading. Once unlocked, Accie extracts account numbers, IFSC, bank name, period, opening/closing balances, and transaction tables with an arithmetic sanity check (Opening + Credits − Debits ≈ Closing).
Is handwritten Indic text supported?
Yes. Accie OCR includes handwritten script profiles for English and major Indic languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali), outputting transcribed text to JSON, plain text, or Markdown for archives and AI/RAG workflows.
Can I export to Tally, Excel, CSV, or JSON?
Yes. Accie OCR exports Tally XML, formatted Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx), CSV, plain text, Markdown, and typed JSON. You can also export whole batches grouped into a supplier-wise GSTIN ZIP pack.
Can I group results by GSTIN?
Yes. You can group extracted and reconciled invoice results by GST number (GSTIN) before export — giving finance teams and CA offices supplier-wise batches rather than a flat undifferentiated dump.
Is GST included in the listed prices?
Listed plan prices are in INR per month excluding GST. GST at 18% is shown separately at checkout and on invoices.
Where is data processed and stored?
Accie processes data within Indian data centres by default under India DPDP principles — your documents do not leave the country. Configurable data retention runs from 1 to 30 days (default 7 days), after which raw file bytes are purged permanently while audit logs are maintained.
What are MCP skills?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) skills let AI agents in Cursor, Claude Desktop, LangChain, or custom orchestrators submit OCR jobs, inspect progress, apply templates, and retrieve structured data autonomously.
Is Accie Business Suite available today?
No. Business Suite (CRM, Desk, Field Service) is in active development and coming soon. You can join the waitlist on the Business Suite page.
Is Accie a PWA?
Yes. Accie OCR is installable as a Progressive Web App on phone, tablet, and desktop without requiring an app store download.
